I also see that he worked with Richard Donner on Conspiracy Theory and Lethal Weapon 4.  I had my own conspiracy theory that maybe he was getting one of his projects on the big screen (or Sci-Fi channel), hence the invite.  Turns out he was already cool and connected before he went into comics...</description>
