I have to disagree with the folks who think K&C wouldn't work as a film. I thought the whole thing was very filmic, and practically begs for the treatment. What a shame, considering some of the dreck that actually makes it to the screen.

And Brian, just an FYI, Wonder Boys the book is greta, but Wonder Boys the film is better. Hard to go wrong with Downey.

I have to second what Brian Spence just said. The novel works great as a novel, but I"m not sure if it would work as well as a film.

Although it's a great book, I'm not sure it's a great idea for a movie. I don't know if I'd like seeing an edited down version. I never read Wonder Boys, but loved the movie. I wonder if the amount of material they had to cut from it is similar to what they'd have to do with K&C.

It sure would be nice for people to get a glimpse of how comics got their start in America though.
