Frazer Irving just did this book for puffin! What a bandwagon this GN craze is.
    Who’s doing their Treasure Island? : )

I don’t remember if it was for Penguin, but I very surprised when I found Chester Brown’s cover (w/biography of DH Lawrence on the back) for an edition of Lady Chatterlay’s Lover a few weeks ago. These are pretty cool if they are a series!

  4. Torsten Adair Says:

My Barnes & Noble has an endcap display of the entire series. All are nicely art directed, such as Charles Burns’ cow head for Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle. I hope Penguin will issue some posters.

  5. Ricardo Amaral Says:

CharlesR: Yes, it’s also part of the Penguin Series.

  6. Patrick Dean Says:

That Frankenstein monster looks a little like Crispin Glover.

  7. Cross Hatch Dispatch 4/19/2007 « The Daily Cross Hatch Says:

[…] My mouth dissolves into a rabid drooling mess whenever I peruse Penguin’s fabulous covers illustrated by comic artists, the latest of which is Frankenstein courtesy of Daniel Clowes. Also check out this stash of covers that have already been released, and this earlier interview with Penguin’s art director Paul Buckley (part one, two). […]
