I love blogs like this one. You are 100% on point. Do I detect the least bit of sarcasm in your writing (re: I will never let this book out of my sight again)? Keep up the good work, I was looking around for information about rare book for sale when I say a link to here.

I received a copy of this myself, and have spent several days looking up titles with which I was familiar. Thompson nails them pretty well, leaving me a little more willing to trust the reviews of books with which I'm not familiar.

Whoa. I stumbled onto a pretty nice comics site here. I can't believe I missed out all this time...

Speaking of comics, remember the old SuperFriends cartoons during the '70's? Well, imagine if they were turned into the current U.S. Political scene and done in the same way! You end up with The Challenge Of The Super-Duper Friends!

Karl Rove as the Joker is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

I personally hope Jason will make a comic about it now that he's done..... he read just about EVERY manga EVER published in English to make it. Adult stuff, kids stuff, flipped stuff, old stuff, rare/obscure stuff, Out of Print stuff, upcoming stuff, and probably went nuts in the process.

And this WILL be something that every library will order for both circulation and acquisition purposes- people will take this book out for fun, and librarians will use it to evaluate whether or not to acquire books. It's a handy thing, and something every fan should have.

This is a good idea and a book that will be on my shelf ASAP. I am amazed at the amount of research that went into the book. Reading 900 titles is a lot of reading.

Wow.
This might do for manga now what "Manga! Manga!" did for manga 25 years ago. (25 years...I feel dizzy.)

As a strait man, I find something oddly charming about a woman who openly confesses her love and excitement for yaoi. Tell me... Jeff Hardy on Stuart Townsan ...does that do anything for you??? Uh, not that it does for me... I'm just saying.
