Carol Lay’s Irene returns

GooireNewsarama interviews Carol Lay and reveals the news that a collection of her Irene strips is out from Last Gasp:

NRAMA: Carol, you’re most known for your strip WayLay, which runs in LA Weekly and on Salon.com. How long has WayLay been running now?

Carol Lay: About 15 and a half years now. I started with some short pieces for the Weekly that included “The Thing Under the Futon,” and a few stand-alones. When Charles Burns dropped out of the weekly market I pitched the 24-page serial “Now, Endsville” and followed that with the forgettable “Sweet Sue” and the much better and more ambitious “Invisible City.”
