Bethesda is home to the National Naval Medical Center, where the White House receives nonemergency health care. The National Institutes Of Health are also nearby. NIH runs the National Library Of Medicine, the largest medical library in the world. Unknown what sort of comics they own.
On the other side of the Red Line, in College Park, is the annex to the National Archives. Among its treasures are the archives of National Public Radio, which includes the little known radio commentary of Al Capp(!).
And if you wish to read, the Library Of Congress has a spectacular collection of original art. It also hosted the ICAF conference. Any word, Heidi, on how that went?
