Jaime Hernandez/Bob Dylan crossover?

Tt.Poster.72
If the idea of Bob Dylan, Mr. Mumbles himself, having a radio show sounds like some kind of comedy sketch, you’d be wrong. He has a show on XM Satellite radio called THEME TIME RADIO HOUR, on which he simply spins his favorite records, and the show is highly spoken of. Now, one of the producers has commissioned Jaime Hernandez to draw a promo poster for the show, which you can see above in all its glory — the various vignettes refer to incidents in the show opening. You can see the poster in much better detail here.

I must have a copy. It’s really a beautiful piece of art. I like the kitty in the second window from the bottom, on the left.

Where is that? I feel like I recognize a lot of the places, names, and architecture . . . kind of like a cross between Austin and Pittsburgh.

Awesome. I spy a little Joost Swarte influence. Looks great.

More than that, much more. he and music uber-connoisseur Eddie Gorodetsky assemble an hour of obscure but amazing tracks by artists you’ve likely never heard (or even heard =of=) but should have, built around a single theme each week (hence the name).

The headlining XM show that fits your description is Tom Petty’s Buried Treasure.

    wow that looks great.

Jaime is a goddamn genius and the show’s producer was very sharp for commissioning this piece. Kudos all around.

Also, the vignettes illustrate one of the particular “themes” from last year’s TTRH Season One episodes. The “Abernathy Building’s” Studio B is where Dylan supposedly broadcasts the show from. HE regularly talks about visiting “Samson’s Diner” and so on.

He’s really a nice piece of work - especially for TTRH True Fans. :-) I’m hoping it will go on sale soon.
