I have read your book "Michael Recycle" and it was a delightful little story in rhyme right up until it said Michael Recycle was "The planet's new savior". I strongly object to this line. There is only one Savior and that is Jesus Christ, to suggest that a character in a children's book is our savior is outrageous. Would the author have dared to suggest that Michael was the planet's new Mohammad or the planet's new Buddha? No, probably not., because it would not have been tolerated.
I realize that this is just a fictional story but children are impressionable and we need to be careful what message even our fiction is sending. Here at our school we teach about our Savior, the one and only risen Son of God, Jesus Christ. Needless to say this book will not be found in our school library. Surely it should be your goal to publish wholesome, quality books for children.

Are you publishing or planning to publish picture books for young readers?

Then, are you accepting manuscripts, and what would your submission guidelines be?

I am author of twenty-seven books, including fiction, historical fiction, biographies, and nonfiction.

Yours,

Nancy Smiler Levinson

Chris, didn't it say they weren't comic but actual kids books though?

They have some good names attached but I don't see any artists or cartoonists. Are they all just writers or will they be drawing the books as well? I smell an attempt to line up some big names and score some free ink in order to create some cheap "IP" to show producers and score some blockbuster CG Hollywood kids movies but I hope I'm wrong and these will be good.

I think that's wonderful. I hope it works out, and sets grand new things in motion. We need to start showing the world that comics aren't just for adults. :)
