   Here’s something that will drive LOST fans crazy. Somehow this hasn’t leaked out yet but a friend of mine who works on the show says that the producers are seriously considering not airing the final 2 episodes on network TV, but releasing them to movie theaters. This has gimmick written all over it and I have to wonder how feasible this is as theaters tend to have their films booked months in advance although I guess that cineplexes that show the new action film on 3 screens can spare one for LOST. Sounds like a wacky idea but it just may happen. Stay tuned and you too may be saying WHAT?!

   They may be “thinking about it” but ABC will never let that happen.
   Not that there couldn’t be a movie of some sort later, but I’m sure “Lost” will have a fitting conclusion on broadcast television.

   Actually for about 2 years the producers have said they intend the finale of the final season of TV series will be done as a theatrical film, not on TV.

   Considering the movie would certainly be made by some branch of Disney, it would just be an issue of which of the Mouse’s pockets the money ends up. Movie money up, TV money down. And it would get shown on TV eventually anyway. Maybe, in two years’ time, it could be some wacky Super IMAX 3-D kind of picture.

    I can’t find any mention of this anywhere.

    With so many viewers already grumbling over the abbreviated seasons and long breaks, you’d think an inflamatory notion like that would get some press.
