Gah. I tried to forget about that Jay Leno mess completely.

Hopefully this is more in the tradition of the genuinely wacky Avengers on David Letterman story....

I like Colbert, I want to be on Colbert's show, but I never needed to see his cartoon crotch.
Nope, not ever.

"anything to get more comics on tv. Sorry but as odd as this is. It’s not a bad idea. "

I take it you mean getting some new readers that way, correct? And you're right, it's a great idea.

Problem is, yeah, they'll pick up 'this' issue but in order for them to come back and buy the next, the material has to be good.

That's where most publishers are having a problem.

When did Uncle Floyd ever team up with Spidey???

Man, I'll never forget the day at a Fairfield NJ signing when my dog took a dump on Skippy's shoes.

Alexa - I think Stephen should hang out in Harvey Pekar's "American Splendor" or appear in "Eightball" or something a little more intellectual than Spider-Man comics. I mean, the way superheroes are rendered nowadays, even Spider-Woman and She-Hulk look like trannies!

@Stig: Dammit! Even the comics are trying to turn Stephen gay! Superhero comics, no less-- the most heterosexual comics there are, with all those big, strapping men in spandex...

Gah! So conflicted.... Currently boycotting Spider-Man because of the marriage... And yet, it's Colbert! If they don't team up and fight The Grizzly, then there's no justice.
