I've got to get into reading that Umbrella Academy. Did it first start out in Dark Horse Presents? I think I read a short story preview story but I can't remember where I read it. Is Dark Horse Presents still even around?

Torsten---Gemstone publishes 2 books a month of Disney stories, and Gemstone had several nominations. There has to be a unified push to get some titles nominated.

Ralph---not arguing your point, just saying that the number of votes is what counts. 50% of the people who read All Star Superman might have voted for it. 90% of the people who read Alice In Sunderland might have voted for it. Sunderland may indeed be the better Single Issue if history looks back upon it, but Superman got the votes this time.

Best Single Issue Or Story - All Star Superman over Alice In Sunderland!? Seriously All Star Supes was good, but nowhere near the level of Alice In Sunderland.

Wow... Something for everyone. If the market wasn't so diverse, I'd conjecture that the committee sat down and distributed the awards evenly. A fine list! (I'm spending the weekend at the NY Anime Festival, and I notice a lack of manga. Are professionals unaware? Is there a small voting block of manga talent to affect nominations? Are manga publishers not electioneering?)
