It’s very funny that someone would assume that people who watch Heroes are craving the approval of the comic nerd population… somehow I think I”ll get by without it.

Heroes is getting annoying, but I wouldn’t say it’s dumb. Of course, I like the show, so I WOULD say that.

I would feel a lot better if HBO or Showtime were doing this as opposed to a network. “Fables” has a very distinct feel to it, and the networks don’t do genre stuff very well.

I know “X-Files” and “Lost” are exceptions, but most network sci-fi/fantasy shows are Xena-corny or “Heroes” dumb.

(sorry “Heroes” fans, but that show is like Jonas Brothers for comic nerds: you’ve been told its cool, so you accept it blindly then call anybody stupid who doesn’t agree with you.)

So back to my point: ABC Fables probably ain’t gonna be pretty.

This is something I’d rather not have happen, but kudos for Bill and Bucky if it means more money in their pockets.

You also have to wonder if Disney will really like seeing many of their better-known characters “FABLE-IZED.”

As soon as I saw the words “Six Degrees,” I lost a lot of enthusiasm. Then I looked up the fact that these two wrote the screenplay for “Elektra” and I just don’t know. Well, maybe it’ll still be good. Or at least, interesting.

The fairy tale characters will keep some of their trademark characteristics. For instance, Prince Charming will be handsome
