I’ve read an enjoyed a few of R. Sikoryak’s works, where he has blended comic characters into the plots of classic literary fiction. But how does he get away with this?

Why is he not being openly condemned by the publishers of Batman and Peanuts, among others.

Does he secure prior permission, or claim his works are parodies, or what, like?

Sikoryak’s treatments of the characters are considered parodies, according to statements in this interview.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been adapting classic books and plays into comic strips, and I always draw them as parodies of famous cartoons.
