The 27th annual Salón Internacional del Cómic de Barcelona is underway, if locals can rouse themselves from their post-Champions League triumphal celebrations. “Ficomic” is just the name of the organizers, an acronym for a “federation of comic publishers” or something.

well, last year there were 100.000 visitors over 3 days. I went the first two days and it was pretty lively: whole schoolclasses visiting on friday and on saturday the cosplayers came out of the woodworks. Don’t know how sunday and monday (the busiest days) went but I can see it reaching 6 figures again.
